This project was a response to the pervasive hardcore biker-style piercing shop that is not particularly inviting to the average client, particularly women. To remedy this, shop branding features a saturated, fun color palette with simple typography- a contrast to the standard black with elaborate tattoo scripts. To make piercing ecoutrement less intimidating, the jewelry is featured in bright patterns or combined with vintage advertising. These visual themes are combined with the goal of accessibility- both the website and iPad app are geared towards beginners, allowing new clients to learn more about body piercing in a non-threatening, simple way.
